About the Book

Time Travel is open to the public.

For a resource-depleted world, the breaking news offers a glimmer of hope as humanity disperses throughout the eras. For siblings Mia and Derek Hayes, the news presents a welcome diversion from the mundane trajectory of their lives. Alternate Take weaves through Mia’s journey in the 1997 college music scene, Derek’s evocative experience in 1967 London, and the Time Regulatory Network’s unconventional orchestration of Time Travel’s entire construct.

Alternate Take is part 1 of the book series Alternate Take. Part 2 of the series is Remastered.

What Reviewers Think about Alternate Take

What a ride!
I had a blast as this book took me back to life in the 90’s, and helped me visualize how fun it would have been to live in the ‘60s! The end specifically had me on the edge of my seat. Can’t wait to continue the adventure in the sequel!

Fantastic Read!
I loved every minute of it. What a cool book!

Great Read!
I gradually got pulled into the lives of the book’s characters until I had trouble putting the book down! I really hope Hallie writes a sequel, as she left me at the edge of my seat in the last chapter. The plot was futuristic yet highly plausible and relatable. Although futuristic, it embraced the timeline of different generations. I enjoyed seeing the world through the different character’s perspectives as they time traveled and found myself hoping for the best outcomes for each of the main characters as they entered into new worlds and new aspects of themselves. The rich descriptions of the daily lives in different time eras simply drew me in, while the twists and turns of the plot left me flipping the pages of the book for more. I definitely enjoyed this book, and I can’t wait to read the sequel.

This book is FAR OUT!
I loved the twists and turns of this book!! It’s so refreshing to have the unpredictability of different timelines and different characters/relationships. I’m already a sucker for the nostalgia and this book has such a fun energy and adventure to it!!

Fun time travel novel
I really enjoyed this fun time traveler book especially to the 90’s college music seen. The time in 1967 hip London, England was a joy and felt authenticate. The themes of worldly crisis, source code, and nostalgia are all present throughout this enjoyable novel.
